UCF plays a vital role in strengthening agriculture and allied sectors in Uttarakhand. It ensures the distribution of fertilizers, biofertilizers, certified seeds, and pesticides to farmers through PACS, while also managing the purchase of wheat and paddy for the state. Beyond agriculture, the Federation supplies essential consumer items to state offices and cooperative societies, and safeguards farmers’ interests through insurance services in collaboration with ICICI Prudential and IFFCO Tokio.

It undertakes warehouse operations, including the renting of godowns, and contributes to infrastructure development through the construction of buildings, roads, and canals. With its own drug manufacturing unit at Ranikhet, UCF supplies Ayurvedic medicines to government hospitals across India. Additionally, it acts as an agent of the State Government in the field of mining, reflecting its multifaceted role in supporting both rural development and the state economy.
